CROCODILE ON THE LOOSE BONNIEVALE WESTERN CAPE

A number of crocodiles have escaped from a commercial farm near Bonnievale in the Western Cape on Wednesday 3 March, with authorities and environmental departments hard at work to recapture them.

The crocodiles managed to break free from their holding camps in the morning, and despite some 25 crocs having been recovered and safely returned to the farm, various law enforcement agencies will continue to patrol parts of the Breederiver near the farm to ensure that the “unknown number” of escaped animals are also rounded up.

SOUTH AFRICA (September 2014) – During September and October you will see them alongside the roads of our country during. They operate in groups, or sometimes only two or three souls. They stop in the most visible places seemingly unaware of the world passing by. Then they do something strange...they wrap anything and everything with the pink material they carry with them in the random place they chose for no apparent reason.

From Outeniqua Farmers' Market's Deon Mocke

Due to the current weather and grim predictions for tomorrow of 50mm rain and gusts of up to 54km/h from Cape Town's weather service, Outeniqua Farmers Market decided not to open tomorrow, 14 July 2012.

They are very sorry, but believe it would be best and safest for everyone.

They'll see you all next Saturday for sure!

A great find! The Garden Route Botanical Garden has a nursery that also sells to the public. Their prices are ridiculously low.
They are open from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 - 4.30 pm. Fridays only in the mornings. The Tea Garden serves yummie eats and has a lovely safe play area for the little ones.
