The Knysna Old Gaol Art Gallery was founded and is run by the Knysna Arts & Crafts Society - a non profit organization. The aim behind the gallery is to provide local artists an opportunity to display their work, a new exhibition shows every 2-4 weeks.

We offer one of the most picturesque and unique Chapels and Wedding Venues in the Garden Route.

The Chapel and Old School will give any wedding or function the ultimate feel of olden days gone by. As the Chapel was once the Goukamma Post Office and the Old School was the Goukamma School, lovingly restored, it lends itself to an atmosphere of past tranquility with country feel. All furniture and décor are antiques of the Garden Route area in keeping with the sense of history and tradition of the Chapel and Old School.

The Chapel can comfortably seat 70 people inside
The Old School Reception Venue can seat 80 comfortably. Contact us for information on our packages which include cutlery, crockery, tables,chairs, bar services,staff and your own personal wedding assistant .
Seating for the Chapel and Old School can be extended with the hire of marquee tents to accommodate 120 comfortably.

The Chapel & Old School is the ideal location for hosting functions and special occasions. From intimate dinner parties, children's birthday parties to glamorous celebrations and celebrity events.

The gardens provide a picturesque setting for outdoor and indoor events, with lush fruit trees and just the slightest hint of fresh herbs all round. Luxury Marques can be hired and erected upon request

Our conference facility is the perfect venue for your wedding, conference or year end function needs. We are renowned for good food in George and also have a fully licensed bar.

The venue is surrounded by indigenous fynbos and a beautiful sea view where whales and dolphins can be seen. We can accommodate up to 130 guests for wedding and other functions and between 20 and 50 delegates for conferences depending on what special needs you require.

Founded in 1994, The Knysna Elephant Park was the first facility in South Africa to house and care for orphaned African elephants. The present KEP herd numbers ten - the largest domesticated matriarchal herd in the country. Our facilities are world class and our style of management ensures that our elephants interact with guests on their own terms.
Within this habitat, our elephant experiences offer guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with our elephants; but still gives the elephants the space and freedom to choose where they want to move, what they want to eat and who they want to interact with.

Knysna Elephant Park offers the following experiences:

Daily Tours:
Our Daily Tours leave every half hour, every day, from our reception / visitor's centre. Guests are transported to the field where you have the opportunity to interact, feed and walk amongst our herd of African Elephants. Responsible and educational interactions enable guests to appreciate the awe-inspiring presence of these animals, on elephant terms. There are no fences to spoil the close encounter and our environment encourages elephants to exhibit natural behaviours. Our experience duration is 45 - 60 minutes, but guests are welcome to spend as much time as they wish with the elephants.

Elephant Breakfast Picnic Walks:
Experience an early morning walk with our elephants - welcoming the new day at 'elephant pace'. Ending at our lapa venue, this package includes a breakfast basket filled with delicious goodies, for you to enjoy while you overlook the Outeniqua mountains and the valley with indigenous forest.

Elephant Walks:
Experience an incredible scenic walk, meandering through the Park at elephant pace with panoramic views of the Outeniqua mountains and Knysna Forest. Join our guides who will relate informative 'elephant tales' while you follow in the footsteps of these remarkable animals. Round this off with refreshments at the Elephant Park restaurant.

Welcome to Sedge Links Golf Course, Sedgefield's premium short course.

The rolling fairways and testing greens boast a natural setting nestled next to the Swartvlei lake and the Outeniqua mountains in the distance. This short course is the perfect place to feel at peace to concentrate on your drives, short game or putting skills.
The course has 18 tee boxes, each with a junior, intermediate and advanced tee off section to suit players of any skill level, from novice to pro. These tee boxes allow players to vie for that allusive hole-in-one on one of the 9 greens.

The recently renovated club house has a beautifully crafted Blackwood bar area and small cosy lounge area.
Our club house has a pizzeria, coffee bar and ample seating outside under the covered deck. Should you be interested in hosting a function, be it an intimate family get together or a company team building, we have various areas available which can be tailor made to suit your requirements.

Our outside braai area has 3 built in braais for a more relaxed atmosphere and informal function. The upstairs venue offer a more private experience and can accommodate up to 40 people with a fireplace and stunning views of the golf course and surrounding area.

Venue Capacity, Catering and Equipment
With a capacity of a 100 guests (sit down meal) it is the ideal venue to host your event. The rustic atmosphere surrounded with the unique klein karoo landscapes offer a pleasant platform for any type of event whether a wedding, a birthday party, a year end or a corporate function. Should you need catering services, we offer a complete catering service. We do not rent our catering facility to third party caterers.

There is ample parking and in addition the Guest Farm offers various accommodation options including a honeymoon suite. Choose between self catering or full catering accommodation. Although equipped with a sound system our venue is not rented with the sound- & multi-media equipment, clients must arrange for their own DJ and sound equipment.

Drinks and Wine
The fully licensed bar offers alcoholic beverages at a reasonable rate. We do not offer wine at our venue. Should a client require wine at their function, it should be sourced and delivered to our premises by the client and a corkage fee will be charged.
